The Department of Music and Theatre at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) will present the comedy play “I Hate Shakespeare!” Performances are scheduled for Friday, November 10, at 7 p.m., Saturday, November 11, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 12, at 2 p.m. in the Cecilian Auditorium, located in the Conservatory of Music on the campus of SMWC. Admission is FREE.
The play is a hilarious and fast-paced introduction to Shakespeare with a modern twist. It hits on the major works of Shakespeare in a fun and funny way that anyone who thinks they hate Shakespeare will find enjoyable. The production is directed by Karen Crispin, instructor and theatre director at SMWC.

Other members of the cast are Antonia Taylor, associate director of academic services for student success/senior lecturer for languages and literature, and her daughter Lucy (who is in middle school), Joe Kane (West Vigo Middle School student), and Maggie Stahley (elementary student). Helping as assistant director/technical advisor is Alusta Tapy who teaches math at West Vigo High School.
